Jaipur Sightseeing

Sightseeing is an activity of visiting the famous and interesting sights of a place which is carried out by the Tourists. Nahargarh Fort is situated on the edge on Aravali hills and is 15 kms away from the Jaipur city. Its 600 feets above the ground level, hence giving a breathtaking view of the city from its top. It was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, The Founder of Jaipur in 1734. It is Often viewed as a place for Recreation and fun. Jaigarh Fort stands on the hills of Aravali. It overshadows the palaces and Maota lake of Amer. It is also 15 kms away from the Jaipur city located in Amer. The fort was built by Sawai Jai Singh III in 1726. It consists of the World’s Biggest Canon on Wheels – the Jai Ban. Furthermore it has a well-tended garden where the royal family resided, the Shubhat Niwas (an assembly hall of the warriors), an armoury and a museum for visitors.

Amer Fort is situated in the town of Amer which is just 11 kms away from the Jaipur city. It is one of the highly liked tourist attractions in the Jaipur area, located high on a hill. Amer Fort was constructed by Raja Man Singh I. It is Famous for its courtyards, gardens and sculpture. Sila devi Temple is also worth watching.

City Palace is located in the heart of Jaipur city & is considered one of the most anticipated tourist places in India by the Tourists. It comprises of Chandra Mahal & Mubarak Mahal Palaces. There is a Clock Tower near Mubarak Mahal. Govind Dev Ji temple, dedicated to the Hindu god Lord Krishna, is part of the City Palace complex. A museum Named “Bhaggi Khana” in also located in its premise where a collection of old carriages, palanquins and European cabs adopted as baggis to Indian situations are on display.

The Hawa Mahal is located to the south of the Jaipur city, at the main road intersection called the Badi Chaupad (big four square). It was built by in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh basically for royal women to observe everyday life in the street below without being seen, since they had to observe strict “purdah” (face cover).
